Systerskapat | Inspiring Change through Art
Systerskapat is a design project that aims to explore new dimensions of the subscription box concept.
Driven by a commitment to making a positive impact, the focus of Systerskapat is to empower artists by providing them with a platform to express their unique perspectives and talents, as well as supporting causes that promote inclusivity and equity to raise awareness and create opportunities for empowerment.
This concept was created for my Bachelor’s project i graphic design. In addition to conceptualizing the subscription box, the project includes branding, packaging and web design as well as a custom font design.
About
The name Systerskapat is a play on the Swedish words for Sisterhood (Systerskap) and Created (Skapat). The concept centers on building a distribution channel for carefully curated works by female and non-binary artists, makers, and creators, while also raising funds and awareness for charities and initiatives that support marginalized communities, with a focus on gender equality and LGBTQ+ rights.
More than just a subscription box, Systerskapat is a space dedicated to celebrating underrepresented voices in the creative industry, fostering connections between artists and an engaged audience. Each edition is an invitation to discover new perspectives, support meaningful causes, and surround oneself with art that tells a story.
packaging
The packaging is designed with bespoke abstract patterns relating to the theme of the box contents. An important aspect when creating the packaging was not only that it should be able to fit a variation of differently sized products and protect them during transportation, but that the design of the packaging should encourage the subscriber to keep and reuse the boxes.
Each box is thoughtfully crafted to feel like a collectible piece in itself—something to be displayed, repurposed, or passed along rather than discarded. By blending aesthetic appeal with functionality, the packaging becomes an extension of Systerskapat’s ethos: a celebration of creativity, sustainability, and meaningful design.
Systerskapat font
A custom hand-drawn font with a playful painted look as a nod to the craftsmanship of the content contributors. Each glyph comes in three alternating versions for a more authentic handwritten look.

The website serves as a hub of information and discovery, where you can manage your subscriptions, dive deeper into the creative processes of the artists, and explore the stories behind each supported cause and project.
